    Blizzard has posted hotfixes for January 15, 2021 which includes a fix for Vicious Saddle achievements and more!

    Here you'll find a list of hotfixes that address various issues related to World of Warcraft: Shadowlands and WoW Classic. Some of the hotfixes below take effect the moment they were implemented, while others may require scheduled realm restarts to go into effect. Please keep in mind that some issues cannot be addressed without a client-side patch update.

    Botting is an activity that is not only really annoying, it is also against the Blizzard Terms of Service. Many gatherers have experienced botters swarming gathering areas and nodes. In the case of skinning, this has actually caused Blizzard to nerf the drops of some mobs. This does help with the botting, but unfortunately regular skinners are also unfairly impacted. If you see a botter, right-click them and report them for cheating.

    With the initial Covenant Campaign wrapped up this reset, Twisting Corridors out last week, and Castle Nathria cleared in December, players are understandably curious as to what's next for Shadowlands. A recent PC Gamer interview with Ion Hazzikostas hinted that the next update was in Spring 2021, so we're looking at that claim in more detail.

    The Covenant Campaign storylines wrapped up this week with the final chapters unlocking with 22 Renown. Though they sometimes overlap, each Covenant has had its own, unique storyline, specific to that Covenant's concerns, interests, and zone. We thought it would be nice to do a quick recap.

    Last week Blizzard mentioned change about how Sundancer loot works in their hotfixes. Now, with a week of data observing drops, the community has figured out what the changes entailed.

    Fixed an issue where eligible players could fail to receive the Sundancer mount in Bastion after completing the event.

    This change made was so the person using the Skystrider Glider has a very high chance to get the mount.

    For NA servers, the Instructor's Divine Bell on use Mastery Trinket is now available from the World Quest Centurions, Assemble!, now up to Item level 184. This is the first time that it will be available at this Item level for the majority of NA players and is very strong for specs that want Mastery such as Balance Druids!

    While players of the Kyrian Covenant can get this trinket through other means, this is the first time that it has spawned at item level 184!

    For January 14th hotfixes, the cooldowns of Inscrutable Quantum Device, Empyreal Ordnance, and Bladedancer's Armor now reset when a boss encounter ends. There are also some improvements to Beasts of Prodigum, including greatly including the attack damage of beasts for casters.

    In addition to their interview with Game Director Ion Hazzikostas, PC Gamer also announced that the Battle.net 2.0 update for the Activision Blizzard games launcher would be going live in North America. This may not be news to some, since many of us have been enjoying this version since it entered beta in November of 2019, but it appears to finally be going out to the public.

    Many of those who were lucky or wealthy enough to acquire the Reins of the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur auction mount before it was no longer available have been kind enough to sit on their mount in Oribos to allow convenient auction house access to others. If you arrive in Oribos and take a turn around the inner ring, you will likely come across one of these lovely players and their exclusive mount.

    Last month, Activision Blizzard began their Holiday Giving Initiative, in which each employee was given $200 to donate to a charity of their choice.     Blizzard has pushed hotfixes to improve their accessibility options for players with increased sensitivity to motion sickness. These options change hide some camera effects added in Shadowlands, like the anima strands when you die or the edge camera effects while you're under the Lingering Cloak of Ve'nari effect in the Maw.

    Torghast's version of "Treasure Goblins" from Diablo have started to spawn inside the tower with the Beasts of Prodigum event! If you're lucky enough to find one, it'll drop you extra Phantasma and an Anima Cell, and if you use a Ravenous Anima Orb on it, there's a chance it'll spawn a portal to a secret area containing even more Anima Cells!

    When you finish the Covenant Campaign and unlock your 3rd Soulbind option, you're supposed to unlock them as a follower for the Mission Table as well. However, it seems that the Night Fae Covenant Campaign doesn't currently award the Hunt Captain Korayn Follower unlike the other Covenants.

    Edit: A hotfix has now been applied, granting the Hunt-Captain Korayn follower when you next log in!
